Rose of Sharon

Both my girlfriend Kriss and my mother confirm it...this is "Rose of Sharon" but...to my own credit...it does appear to be of the hibiscus family.  Of course I researched it!

Do you know how when you hae a new understanding...you see it everywhere?

Well...apparently this flower grows like crazy by me because I see plenty of rose of Sharon trees as well as hydrangea.  I think, or wonder if it might have to do with the water table.  After all, I am surrounded by three canals and the beach is less than two miles away....

Hydrangea and a few no-namers...

I have no idea what this one is either.  This was another organic surprise. My friend Kriss said it looks like a lily and I agree with that but the way it grows is like gladiolus in clumping,

Front Gardens

The stoop...I don't remember what this white flower is but it is a perennial and it seems to be much happier in  pot than the front right garden.

Front right garden: dusty miller, lamb's ear, and whatever else I can get to grow there....seems to be a difficult place!

Front left garden with the tomato-eater in the window.
Whiskey barrel begonia

Lamb's ear...love this plant...so fun to pet!

I have been told that this may be a poppy...not so sure about that.  To me it looks like a hibiscus but this comes back each year.
